Through the creation of industry partnerships, Aggie Square will bring world class researchers and the communities they serve together.

Aggie Square builds on an entrepreneurial culture with more than 900 active patents. Last year alone, UC Davis helped launch 16 startups, made 107 invention disclosures and completed 85 licensing agreements. More than 75 percent of UC startups launched in the last five years are still active.

Companies need the best talent to succeed, and the talent at Aggie Square will make companies more competitive. UC Davis has earned top-tier rankings in areas businesses need —life sciences, agriculture, veterinary medicine, engineering and more. It provides a highly skilled and diverse workforce of graduates. UC Davis also offers elite continuing and professional education programs to help customize training for private firms with specific needs.

Approved industry partner and startup companies have immediate access to state-of-the-art research laboratory spaces, priority and privileged access to the university’s dozens of research core service laboratories and collaboration opportunities with our current industry partners and with the top ranked scientists at UC Davis.

Currently collocated in our Launch Space, IBM is showcasing their ability to innovate and collaborate with UC Davis through avenues of health, lifelong learning, enhancement of emerging technologies and other future collaborations.
