UC Davis Aggie Square has hosted a series of quarterly community engagement meetings on a variety of topics including workforce development, youth opportunities, benefits for local residents, businesses and more. We strive to make the events as informative and engaging as possible. If you could not attend, we hope this recap provides a general overview of all that took place.

On December 18, 2024 UC Davis, the City of Sacramento and Wexford Science and Technology hosted a quarterly Aggie Square Community Engagement Meeting. Forty one attendees joined us for this informational evening. The meeting included an Aggie Square overview followed by highlights of Aggie Square’s past, present and future.

An interactive Aggie Square quiz provided a look at Aggie Square’s past. Short interviews with community organizations and community members who are part of programs in affordable housing, workforce development and youth engagement provided a look at Aggie Square’s present. We finished the presentation by sharing future highlights:

  • The timeline for university move-in
  • Images of the finished lab, office, classroom and public spaces
  • The Grand Opening date, May 2, 2025
  • The link to join the interest list for ANOVA Aggie Square apartments that will open in spring 2025
  • A new website highlighting Aggie Square jobs
  • Upcoming programming that Wexford will launch

In 2025, the Aggie Square Community Engagement meeting schedule shifts from four meetings per year to two meetings per year. The next meeting is planned for June 2025. Stay tuned via the Aggie Square newsletter for date and registration details.
