On May 11, 2023 we hosted a community engagement meeting to answer questions, share information about the project's progress and highlight information related to subcontractor bidding and UC Davis employment opportunities.

Meeting highlights included:

• An overview and general update on Aggie Square, including a timeline of the project so far
• An update on the Community Benefits Partnership Agreement, including affordable housing and local business connections.
• Subcontractor opportunities, including local spend and an upcoming public infrastructure bid
• Job and contracting opportunities, including with UC Davis and UC Davis Health, Sacramento Works and La Familia.

Subcontractor opportunities

Aggie Square's general contractor identified over $920,000 in miscellaneous local spend in target zip codes and $70,000,000 in regional contractor spend. In addition, a $6 million public infrastructure bid, including landscaping, asphalt and streets will be available through Whiting-Turner in late summer 2023.
