About SVCC

UC Davis, along with Sacramento State, Sacramento City College and Woodland Community College, form the regional Sacramento Valley College Corps, or SVCC. SVCC represents a portion of the 45 campuses selected for the inaugural #CaliforniansForAll College Corps program funded by California Volunteers and the Office of the Governor. The organization has three main goals:

  • Engage college students in meaningful service to build leadership and civic responsibility;
  • Promote academic success and economic well being with students from diverse backgrounds; and
  • To support the work of community-based organizations in three priorities: K-12 education, climate action, and food insecurity.
