Every quarter, UC Davis Aggie Square hosts community engagement meetings on a variety of topics including workforce development, youth opportunities, benefits for local residents, businesses and more. We strive to make the events as informative and engaging as possible. If you could not attend, we hope this recap provides a general overview of all that took place.
Our November 9, 2022 meeting took place at the Aggie Square Launch Space on Stockton Blvd. Here is a brief recap:
- Construction

Construction on Aggie Square is going well with contractors still targeting completion early 2025. Learn more and see photos.

- Affordable Housing
- Representatives from the city of Sacramento shared news about the council approving the allocation of over $30 million for seven affordable housing projects (820 units) across the city.
- One of the projects will be in North Sacramento, others will be in South Sacramento, Oak Park, Tahoe Park and Southside Park. Learn more
- Additionally, city council approved the launch of a new loan program for seeding real estate projects that provide a public benefit.

- With few youth in attendance, attendees discussed ways to better communicate with the public and engage with youth to shape future Aggie Square youth opportunities.
